Oral Roberts University women’s
basketball alumnus Dominique Allen will represent her native country of Great
Britain at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, as confirmed today by the
British Olympic Association. Allen is the first member of the ORU women’s
basketball program to compete at the Olympic Games.
Fellow 2012 alumnus Georgia Jones
was a member of Great Britain’s Olympic training camp, but did not make the
final cut.
Allen played in 107 games over
her four-year career at ORU. The Birmingham, England native averaged 3.4 points
and 3.7 rebounds per game, and she participated on two Summit League regular
season championship squads.
