USD's Duling Featured on NCAA.org

University of South Dakota track & field student-athlete Alexa Duling was featured on NCAA.org.

Duling is no stranger to hard work, determination and daring to dream. During this past summer, Duling turned her dream of creating the first “Girls on the Run” event for 13 pre-teen girls, their families and the community of the Rosebud Indian Reservation into a reality.

A 4.0 pre-med student-athlete at South Dakota, a national qualifier in the 400-meter hurdles last year and the 2010-11 Great West Conference Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Duling’s athletics expertise and strong work ethic fit nicely with the mission and vision of the Girls on the Run organization, which focuses on creating “self-respect and healthy lifestyles through running” among 8- to 13-year-olds.
