Denver's Daffinrud Named to GolfWorld Player to Watch List



NEW YORK – (denverpioneers.com) University of Denver women’s golf student-athlete Tonje Daffinrud was named one of 50 top female Players to Watch by GolfWorld. The list was compiled by GolfWorld Senior Writer and Campus Insider Ryan Herrington.

“Tonje had a great season last year and was ranked #36 in the individual rankings. She has worked hard the last three seasons and has continued to improve each year while at DU.  This is a great honor for her to be named to the 50 players to watch this season and we look forward to another great year with senior, Tonje Daffinrud.

Daffinrud competed in nine tournaments last season, notching four top-5 finishes and six top-10 finishes. She shot a season-low of 65 at the University of Hawaii Spring Break Invitational, finishing the tournament in second place. She also won the Western Athletic Conference Individual Title with a season-low of 7-under par 209.
