Men's Basketball Exhibition Rundown (Nov. 3)



IUPUI 86, Trine 69
Junior center Mitchell Patton led six Jaguars in double-digits with 18 points and 10 rebounds and classmate Donovan Gibbs added 12 points and 15 boards as IUPUI captured an 86-69 exhibition win over Trine University on Saturday (Nov. 3) inside The Jungle.

John Hart finished with 16 points on 4-of-13 shooting and both Ian Chiles and Greg Rice scored 11 each. Sean Esposito came up with 10 points and six boards off the bench, helping IUPUI outrebound the Thunder, 37-28. Twelve of IUPUI's caroms came off the offensive glass, leading to a 20-5 advantage in second chance points.

North Dakota State 72, Minnesota State-Moorhead 67
FARGO, N.D. - TrayVonn Wright scored seven of his 16 points in overtime to lead North Dakota State to a 72-67 win over Minnesota State Moorhead in exhibition men's basketball Saturday, Nov. 3, before a crowd of 2,156 at the Bison Sports Arena.


Taylor Braun led NDSU with 19 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three steals. Lawrence Alexander scored 16 points and Marshall Bjorklund had 10 points and seven rebounds for the Bison.

Kansas City 88, Ottawa 56
The Kansas City men's basketball team jumped out to an early lead and never looked back on Saturday night in their only exhibition contest, taking out the Ottawa (Kan.) Braves, 88-56.

It was a balanced effort for UMKC as well. Kyle Korver, junior guard Nate Rogers, and junior forward Nelson Kirksey each had seven to lead the way, while Hall tallied six. The only person with more than six at the half for the Braves was Julian Rose, who had a game-high 12 points.
