Swimming and diving coach Mark Sowa, who joined the Vandals last month, has rounded out his staff with the addition of swimming assistant Ashley Jahn and diving coach Chelsea Oates.Oates is a 2011 graduate of Oakland University where she not only excelled in athletics but academics. Oates was a two-time honorable mention academic honorable mention and qualified for zone competition four times in both the 1- and 3-meter events. She also was recognized on the 2010 Summit's League's Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence and was a 2010 Summit League Distinguished Scholar.
