NDSU's Anderson Featured on SI Golf

North Dakota State women's golfer Amy Anderson was recently featured in the online publication Sports Illustrated Golf.

The junior won her second-straight Summit League Championship MVP last month and is a two-time Golfer of the Year.  On Monday, she was selected for the third-straight season as an at-large participate in the NCAA Women's Golf Regionals.

NDSU's Anderson to Compete in World University Golf Championships

North Dakota State's Amy Anderson is one of five golfers who will compete for the United States in the 14th World University Golf Championships this July.

Anderson, a junior from Oxbow, N.D., joins Georgia's Emilie Burger, North Carolina's Catherine O'Donnell, Michigan State's Caroline Powers, and Vanderbilt's Lauren Stratton on the team.

The four-round tournament runs July 3-6 at the Ypsilon Golf Resort in Liberec, Czech Republic.  It is a 72-hole stroke play format.

NDSU's Anderson Named to Golf World's Top 50 Watch List

North Dakota State's Amy Anderson was named to Golf World's Top 50 college women's watch list for the 2011-12 season.

Anderson, a junior from Oxbow, N.D., was The Summit League champion and tied for 12th at the NCAA National Championship last year. She placed 63rd at the U.S. Open and advanced to the second round of match play at the U.S. Amateur.

Anderson has won a school-record five tournaments each of her first two seasons at North Dakota State. The two-time Summit League Golfer of the Year has a 73.5 career average and has made top-10 finishes at 18-of-22 collegiate events.
 

North Dakota State is scheduled to open the season at the Concordia Cobber Open at Noon on Friday, at Wildflower Golf Course in Detroit Lakes, Minn., before heading to the Nebraska Chip-N Club Invitational Sept. 12-13.
