Senior
Desiree Hunter of the University of Denver women’s
basketball team, claimed the
No. 1 play on ESPN SportsCenter’s top-10 plays on
Monday night’s prime time edition. The shot came in the Summit League
Championship game against No. 4 South Dakota on Monday March 11. The
senior forward posted a double-double in the game scoring 14 points and
grabbing 10 rebounds in 20 minutes of action.

The
improbable reverse lay-up that bounced off the top of the backboard and went in
after she was fouled, came with 13:35 remaining in the second-half in which
Denver’s Hunter tied the game and then converted the free throw to take a 49-48
lead.
