Former North Dakota State infielder Zach Wentz has signed a professional contract with the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, the American Association club announced today.
Wentz, who played first base his first two seasons and
third base his last two seasons at NDSU, joined the RedHawks for
today's game at the St. Paul Saints.
Wentz made all 60 starts and hit .317 with 13 doubles,
five homers and 41 RBIs this season for NDSU. He was an All-Summit
League second team third baseman and a Capital One Academic All-America®
first team selection.
